Captain America Opening Day April 4th, 2014 Nails It!
Another Smash Hit Success by Marvel Comics with the New Captain America The Winter Soldier Movie
Worth the wait might be an understatement. This movie was better then even I expected and I have to send out a formal apology to Chris Evans from when I said he wasn’t taken the part seriously enough. In my opinion Captain America The Winter Soldier was better then the first Captain America Movie.
Yes, once again Steve Rodgers our super soldier Captain America was back. But this time he brought along a few of his friends to help fight the forces of Hydra the world-wide subversive organization dedicated to global domination and work out differences with Sergeant Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D.
Among the characters introduced we get to see Chris Evans performing a superb job as Steve Rogers – Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson again as Sgt. Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D., Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff or the Black Widow, Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce (which by the way it was GREAT to see Robert Redford in a Marvel Movie), Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes AKA the Winter Soldier (that’s right BUCKY!), Oh and let’s not forget the Falcon played by Anthony Mackie, of course Stan Lee made his usual cameo, and it was great to see Cobie Smulders (from How I Met Your Mother) playing agent Maria Hill of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the movie just as she did on the Shield TV show.
All-in-all Captain America The Winter Soldier was a great movie and well worth the ticket price and 2hrs 8 minutes as long as you don’t have a guy smoking vanilla smokeless vapor cigarettes in front of you (they need to do away with that bad habit before it gets started). Cap had it all! Action, adventure, minor hints of romance, suspense, and Super Heroes! Oh, I almost forgot Humor! There were a few funny comments about a Shield formula made by Bruce Banner to calm him down (which didn’t work) and a funny comment about Nick Fury’s trust issues when Alexander Price turned down the Nobel Piece Prize. Just the right balance with a great story. All these actors owned their parts and made it real! Now sit back and enjoy the show.
